Words matter and have meaning.

Confidence grows from learning from mistakes, not just from collecting successes.

Communication isn't just about the words, it includes your tone, your volume, your pitch, your posture, your gestures.

Culture starts with leadership, not with HR.

Dr. Jessica's passion for leadership development and fostering high-performing teams began in high school and took a significant turn during university when she faced the devastating loss of her cousin to suicide related to bullying. This profound event ignited her commitment to helping others improve their communication and active listening skills, emphasizing the critical importance of understanding how workplace interactions and expectations impact personal lives.

Her journey continued at the cancer center, where she launched her speaking career by lecturing on enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients. This work later expanded to include improving the well-being of healthcare professionals amid rising suicide rates. This led to a broader focus on organizational quality of life, where she addresses 21st-century workplace challenges through her insights into emotional intelligence, impostor syndrome, perfectionism, burnout, and the generational dynamics shaping contemporary work environments. Dr. Jessica emphasizes that effective learning and growth environments must move away from fear-based and shame-based leadership practices, fostering cultures of support and encouragement.

Dr. Jessica empowers leaders to cultivate environments rooted in trust and collaboration, fostering high-performing teams. Through her engaging keynotes and workshops, she delivers practical strategies that enhance confidence, communication skills, and organizational culture. Her methodology encourages leaders to articulate and implement a vision aligned with their values, prioritizing employee engagement, inclusivity, and innovation.

Her best-selling book, Speak Kindly, You’re Listening , serves as a guide for leaders and high achievers, helping them navigate their inner dialogues to bolster confidence and mitigate detrimental workplace dynamics. Currently, she is developing her second book, Speak Kindly, They’re Listening , which explores the factors influencing workplace cultures.

With a proven track record of engaging with prominent organizations such as BMO, CIBC, the University of Toronto, and Harvard Women Alumni, Dr. Jessica is eager to share her insights at your next event. Her storytelling abilities and actionable strategies inspire audiences to cultivate resilient organizational cultures that resonate deeply with both the hearts and minds of their teams.

See What It's All About:

In my first book, Speak Kindly, You're Listening, I dive into how deeply your inner voice can harm you. As a high achiever myself, I put impossible expectations on myself developing imposter syndrome trying to be the perfectionist I thought I needed to be to achieve. It was only a matter of time until I burnt out and had to face my deepest darkest times. Read along to discover my research and actions I took to break through.
